About the Role
You will be contracted to work 39 hours per week, generally on a 5 from 7 shift pattern (including weekend working) on a dayshift. Exact times can vary but typically involve starting at 07:30AM
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our Warehouse team, leading, managing and motivating a great team to make sure the day-to-day Warehousing and Despatch operation runs smoothly.
Main Duties
- Leading and working alongside a small, close-knit team, as a Team Leader you’ll make sure that all orders are filled on time and accurately in line with Food Safety, Health and Safety and legal compliance.
- You will be responsible for a specific department and the team of colleagues, making sure that the team and individual targets are achieved, all while the site processes and policies are followed.
- Positive and enthusiastic, you’ll engage with your team and be on hand to provide direction and support, whilst making sure the team is working effectively.
Qualifications
- You’ve had some experience of leading a team and love playing an active part in the success of your workmates
- You’ve ideally had experience of working within a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment within the food industry
- You’re happy talking to a variety of people from different backgrounds and you can discuss your teams results with the Warehouse Manager as naturally as having a chat with your colleagues on the floor
- You’re good at planning and organising your own work and time, as well as your teams, to make sure targets are met
- You have a good level of numeracy and literacy and you’re able to follow specific processes and procedures
- You know what you’re talking about when it comes to using Microsoft Word and Excel and you’ve ideally had experience working with SAP systems
