Abby Care is currently seeking a Support Associate to join their team. Individuals with the requisite experience and qualifications are encouraged to apply.
About the Company
Abby Care aims to redefine care for the most vulnerable. Recognizing that the healthcare system often fails the underserved, Abby Care addresses the struggle to find, afford, and receive quality care.
Supported by world-class investors and prominent digital health leaders, Abby Care is led by a founder who grew up on Medicaid (public insurance) and understands the desperation of not being able to afford medically necessary care.
Abby Care believes that anything can be achieved through pure will, determination, and grit, and values operators with a similar mindset.
Position: Support Associate
Salary: $1,600 per month
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Remote
About the Role
Abby Care is seeking passionate and empathetic individuals to join our team. This is not your typical sales or customer success position. You will be working with real families facing real human challenges. Your role will be to empower underserved families to take the most transformative step of their lives to access care.
This fast-paced role at a growing company offers advancement opportunities. Candidates must be in Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST). If you are not energized and eager to thrive in this environment, this role may not be the right fit for you.
Main Duties
- Own and drive the family care experience. Your role will revolve around communicating with families and setting rigorous expectations. You’ll be in charge of managing the family care pipeline.
- Uplift our families. You’ll guide families through the healthcare maze. You are their biggest cheerleader during the highest highs and lowest lows. You are always there when they need you most.
- Partner with technology, clinical, and product teams across Abby Care. You’ll be a critical voice for collaboration among initiatives to further our mission.
Qualifications
Pride in being the jack-of-all trades.
- Everyone has heard of the ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none’ quote. However, what most people missed is the second half of the quote ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one’. You know this, and it’s your superpower.
Compassion for underserved families.
- You truly view this as an opportunity to help the most vulnerable. Low-income families are often turned away from care and treated with little respect in healthcare. You’re fired up to flip this narrative!
Execution horsepower.
- Your uncanny advantage is your speed for execution and your organizational skills. For teams you work with, you are known for always exceeding expectations and raising the bar for yourself and for everyone else around you.
Down-to-earth interpersonal skills.
- You know how to relate and talk to anyone and everyone. People connect with you on a deeper level.
- You can switch from talking to a high-ranked executive, to a rural farmer, and to an alien from Mars with no hesitation.
- Team-player and beginner’s mindset.
- You have a low ego and are willing to learn.
- You are willing to admit mistakes and have an open mindset to new avenues of problem-solving.
- You are constantly thinking of ways to improve, and are not afraid to pivot when necessary.
Force of nature.
- You take extreme ownership. There are no tasks or problems that are beneath you – even the most unsexy, complex of problems.
- You are able to drive critical goals under ambiguity and constraints.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Others
- Must have a higher-educational degree or equivalent.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- At least 1+ years of experience with customer support or similar customer-facing roles such as, but not exclusive to:
- Customer Representative
- Sales Representative
- Intake Coordinator
- Excitement to work with an interdisciplinary team and contribute to process development.
- 100% commitment. This role is not fit for anyone with a side hustle or looking for part-time opportunities.
Benefits
- Environment for growth and learning. You will have the opportunity to drive great impact and gain exposure to all functions of the company. At Abby Care, you can flex multiple realms of your interpersonal skillset and creativity.
- Propel innovation in healthcare. We are leading the change against traditional providers with outdated systems. You’ll be able to operate in a fast-paced environment to help deliver best-in-class care and iterate.
- An energizing, compassionate team. Our team cares deeply about each other. We strive to elevate and uplift each other in our day-to-day work to do the best for our families. We don’t believe in bureaucratic nonsense.
- Supporting your well-being. We provide benefits to allow you to do your best work:
