About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and a passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights. This role involves working closely with various departments to support decision-making processes through comprehensive data analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will have experience with database design and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
Main Duties
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs.
- Create visual representations of data using tools such as Visio to communicate findings effectively.
- Utilise programming languages, including Python and R, for advanced data manipulation and analysis.
- Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure proper integration of data solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that summarise findings for stakeholders.
- Employ VBA for automating repetitive tasks and enhancing reporting efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, and VBA is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with database design principles and experience in managing databases.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate future trends based on historical data.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
