B & H Care provides trained healthcare support staff who deliver compassionate care to clients in their homes, care homes, assisted living facilities, hospital settings, and in the community. The agency offers healthcare support staff for any period of time, ranging from as little as one hour to 24-hour live-in care.
Position: Care Worker
Salary: £12 per hour

Main Duties
- Providing care to clients in their own homes.
- Assisting service users to get up then bath them and helping dress and prepare them for their day.
- Serve meals to service users at table or in bed, and assist with feeding as required
- Attending to the personal needs and comforts of the elderly and infirm with care and support needs within their own homes, residential care establishments, day care establishments or in their own homes.
- Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required
- Assisting service users with their environment & day to day activities.
- Monitoring blood pressure, taking temperature, pulse and other physical conditions, as required.
- Making recommendations for changes and improvements to a service user’s care.
- Assist service users in accordance with their care plans
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals such as District Nurses as and when required
- Maintaining confidential client files preparing reports & information as required and putting it on the IT systems used by the organisation.
- Assisting with prescribed medication.
- Moving and handling
- Bathing clients, preparing meals
- Cleaning rooms and linens
Qualifications
- Have a driving licence
- Be willing to relocate to Suffolk
- Experience in helping others or caring for the sick and/or injured
- Studying or wanting to study towards a Level 2 Certificate
- Good communicator, pleasant individual, that is organised and easily adaptable
- Ability to problem solve and seek the best possible solutions even when working under stress; ensuring you remain polite and respectful of all colleagues and clients at all times.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as on their own.
