Dear Sir,

RE: RESOLUTION OF THE PURPORTED 7TH NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (NEC) OF THE ACTION DEMOCRATIC PARTY HELD ON FRIDAY, 3RD MAY, 2019 AT HAVISTA HOTEL IN ABUJA

The South West members of the National Executive Committee and Stakeholder of the Action Democratic Party met in Abeokuta on the 9th of May, 2019 and resolved as follows;
That we condemns the resolution of the so-called 7th National Executive Committee meeting of the ADP held on 3rd May, 2019 in its entirety.
That the purported expulsion of 17 founding members is condemned, same being very ridiculous unconstitutional and a mockery of democracy.
We also note that the said National Executive Committee decided to sanction members of the Committee for not attending the said purported 7th NEC meeting which decision is not supported by any provision of our constitution where members of the Executive Committee at any level stands sanctioned or made to appear before a disciplinary committee for reasons of absence from one meeting.
That all resolutions taken at the said NEC meeting are null and void and of no effect same having been made by the purported NEC comprising person unknown in the manner that is capable of causing further disaffection within the party.
That a NEC meeting calling for a member of the BOT in the person of Senator

Owei to appear before disciplinary committee for no offence whatsoever is ridiculous and very wrong.
That the position of the South West Zone is to resolve all party matters or issues within the party with the view of harmonizing all members for the growth of the party. ADP cannot gain anything by expelling members of the party for no just cause. ADP cannot afford to be on record as a political party that has expelled more members in six months than all other parties have expelled in twenty years.
We as a zone are resolute in ensuring that unity is restored to the party. We crave for and solicit for candor, commitment and support from concerned.
